On mac :
- prepare the required photos in a specific folder
- download XnConvert for mac https://apps.apple.com/fr/app/xnconvert/id436203431?mt=12
- open XnConvert
- convert photos to "1280x1024 resolution" (tab 'Action' of XnConvert) + "JPG format" (tab 'Output' of XnConvert)
- export the new converted photos into Imovie, this is now working 😃
